Island Laboratories Inc.(ILI) is a private, Canadian controlled subsidiary company of the Callahan Group of Companies (CGC) which has been operating for over 40 years in western Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada with diversified operations in oil & gas, real estate, retail, bussing, contracting, mining and manufacturing. Island Laboratories is a research and development company established in the year 2004 merging the technology and research of Helco Laboratories Ltd., of Bangladesh with the objective to commercialize naturally healthy, herbal treatments for various dermatological conditions. Stemcelex is a patented (Patent No. WO 2006/233396 A1) topical scientifically proven herbal treatment for alopecia is considered a Natural Health Product (NHP) by Health Canada Natural Health Product Directorate, has received an Exemption Number and is approved for commercialization from Island Laboratories, Inc. Stemcelex DT-Gel is another technology covered in the claims of the herein referenced patent that provides a line of dandruff treatment shampoos. The Company plans to register Stemcelex DT-Gel with Health Canada, the U.S. FDA and other regulatory authorities in countries under review, i.e. Germany, Bulgaria, Kuwait, India, Japan and Bangladesh.

We are confident about the scientific method of action of the product and we were able to gain FDA approval on the basis of empirical evidence from traditional use of the herbal extracts and published scientific discovery supporting the claims of method of action. The PCT patent is filed in 133 countries which will enable commercialization action as a non-prescription product within these countries.
